IDT, Institute of Design and Technology, was established with a vision to provide direct employment opportunities in Design field through Industry oriented curriculum. It imparts education in the field of Fashion Design, Interior Design and Event Management. It also offers various short term courses like Digital Print, Machine Embroidery and Garment CAD for enhancing skills of aspirants.
IDT entered into Franchise Model in the year 2016 and till now it has centers in Pune, Vapi,, Jaipur, Chennai, Rajkot, Korba, Junagadh and Tiruvannamalai with Surat as its Head Office.
IDT has become a prominent name in the fashion industry with constant appearances in leading fashion events internationally. Its affiliations with leading fashion schools in Dubai and Italy make it a very attractive choice for aspiring designers. IDT has also received authorization from government bodies like NCVTE and NSDC for providing skill based education.
Fashionova Design LLP is the first of its kind in India, also receives Startup recognition, it integrates all the Garment processes under one roof- from designing to manufacturing and packaging. It fulfils, on a large scale, all business needs ranging from co-working space, supply of technicians, expert advises to cognitive workshops and exposure to the industry. Their major focus is on promoting creativity and providing market assistance to sell the creative design and gain profitability. This would reduce dependency on adjacent markets for development of the garment Industry as a whole and create employment opportunities for the talented pool of the fashion industry.
The business process begins with designing a sketch of garment by the designers. The manufacturer finalizes the design and fabric, then design moves for bulk production. Garments are digitized and manufactured using CAD/CAM software. Once the design gets finalized the cutting process begins. Value addition in fabric terms of embroidery work (if required) is done and then it goes for bulk cutting and mass stitching. The process ends with quality check and packaging.
Although established just months ahead of the spread of COVID 19, the firm got national level recognition for designing innovative world’s first ever PPE kits that can be worn on saree. Their flair for innovation and creativity lead to designing of a unique PPE kit called ‘Covid Nari Kavach’ which was specifically designed for health professionals wearing saree. They contributed by producing 5000 kits on a daily basis which was a big support to health workers nationally.
The efforts of their ‘ Lockdown creations – “Covid Nari Kavach” and “Garba PPE Kit” was highly appreciated by Hon Textile Minister Smriti Irani during the launch of Surat Biggest Textile Expo Sitex 2021. The creativity of the firm’s innovative spirit was appreciated by even the Prime minister of India Shri Narendra Modi in his radio address “Mann ki Baat”(straight from the heart). The enterprise had received the Startup recognition from the Government of India.
